#7 DAUNTLESS

Dauntless Faction in 'Divergent' movie, is what I considered who best describes the description below

A REBEL is someone who stands in what he believes in despite what others say, a fighter. They can be whoever they wanna be without trying to be someone they're not and not caring if other people likes it or not.

FREEDOM is just another word for "nothing left to lose". It is the ability to do what he pleases without being stopped or hindered by a separate power.

#6 The HIDDEN BEAUTY

The city that is surrounded by mountains, THE CITY OF ILIGAN

It is a highly urbanized city in the Northern Mindanao Region, Philippines. One of the 10 largest cities in the country with a total land area of 813.37 square kilometers (314.04 sq mi.). And is politically subdivided into 44 barangays. Iligan City is popularly known as the City of Majestic Waterfalls because of the numerous Waterfalls located within the area. One of the main tourist attraction is Tinago Falls.
The waterfall, according to its legend and etymology, is the daughter of an influential and powerful Sultan Agok and his wife. Driven by power, the couple became too selfish. And because of that an enchantress cursed their child to be ugly. True to its words, the child did become ugly. The couple was so embarrased and disappointed, expecting the baby to be as lovely as her mother. They hid the child in a cave and named her Tin-ag meaning "hidden face". When the child grew up, she came out of the cave and was amazed at what she saw. The enchantress, who cursed her parents, saw her and offered to transform her into something of great beauty and splendor. She accepted the offer and became Tinago Falls.
Tinago Falls is located in Barangay Ditucalan, Iligan City. Tinago, which is a Filipino term means "hidden" as the waterfall is being hidden in a deep ravine. It requires 500 descending steps, called "the winding staircase", to arrive at the magical falls. The falls plunges 240 feet (73 m) high from a cliff. Its very cold waters cascading beautifully into a deep and calm basin-like pool which appears like a blue-colored lagoon. Under the falls is a small cave where people can enter and listen to the rumbling waters.

#5 Suhi

In what I have understand in the play, performed by the Integrated Performing Arts Guild or simply known as IPAG, it is about the Bangsa/State of Adin's suffering caused by the war with SAMPULNA, a banished tyrant who is presently planning on retaking the state. UDIN, Adin's new Datu, joined forces with BAI MAYI, Layos' widowed wife, to defeat Sampulna and his army. Fortunately, they were successful in driving them out of Adin. And Udin soon marries Bai Mayi.
But Sampulna, rebuilding his forces to overtake the new couple, restored his power by accusing that Layos' murderer is Mayi, the act supported by new allies justified to bring Bai Mayi to justice. And the only thing that can stop him for his plans is the only heir of Layos and Bai Mayi, who may have been believed to be dead along with his father. And after many circumstances, the one and only legitimate heir was found, who is no other than UDIN himself.

#4 Almost Perfect

One of my happiest day in life was when, we went exploring in Davao City for the first time. I was still a grade school pupil at that time, during summer. We went to Crocodile's Park, Peoples Park and other tourist spots in Davao.
Since I was a kid, I enjoy going to zoos or watching animals in television and other adventure activities involving nature. When we went to Crocodile's Park, I was so excited and happy to see Big Creatures, like Pangil(the biggest crocodile in the park), eagles, talking birds, gorillas, snakes, tigers and some other creatures that I am not familiar with. At evening, we went to People's Park, where I played with my siblings, and fed the fishes and birds freely.
The next morning, we went to Bay-walk  where you can see the Golden Naked Statue of David and baby sharks for free. My parents were relaxing under the cottages while my siblings were sleeping and since I was very hyper, I went roaming where the sharks are located. I was having fun then, when someone suddenly yelled and scolded me for being so near the sharks when it was so dangerous. At that age, you are most likely to cry because someone is yelling at you, but I was so embarrassed and scared that I went hiding in our van and never went out  til we went home. And throughout the way home, I was silent.

#3 NOWADAYS

In PROVERBS 22:6 it says;
"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it"

In the article No One Stops to Say Thank You Anymore by L.A. Wilson, it is clearly pointed out how manners is close to being non-existent. It made me think twice of my actions and how different things are now.

L.A. Wilson's point of view about how people nowadays don't acknowledge a person doing good deeds is very much related with mine. Because are we really that busy that we cannot observe simple courtesy? my answer is NO but I cannot really blame youngsters for their actions for they only emulate what they see growing up.

Doing simple courtesies shows that we respected people and we appreciated what they did. It can also prevent a world where people only think of themselves because if we act accordingly and set ourselves as role models, children will have better image to imitate. Step by step we can create a generation of well-mannered people.

#2 What kind of a language learner are you?

I consider myself as a CRITICAL THINKING language learner because I analyze and ask or search words I do not understand. And based on our workbook in english, study and thinking skills, good language learners have critical sensitivity to language use.

As a "nerd", as my friends calls me, I read a lot of books especially novels like (http://www.wattpad.com/story/8634982-hustle-hacker-beta http://www.wattpad.com/story/7594759-little-red-completed http://www.wattpad.com/story/97579-how-to-turn-a-good-girl-bad http://www.wattpad.com/story/752545-paying-for-his-mistakes-watty-awards-2012), my favorites are the humor and werewolves category. And as a reader, its normal to not understand words or phrases written in the story, what I usually do is ask my mom in which she mostly answers "google it" or "look it up on the dictionary". Secondly, I read or look for examples in which the words are used to understand it better and I also ask my friends what the words or initials means which gives me ideas but sometimes I would just share it to other people to create conversations. Our "second teacher", as our teacher likes to call it, Google, makes it easier and faster to answer questions.
In movies, although I am a 100% Filipino I mostly watch foreign movies which makes it faster to encounter unknown words and it is more difficult to understand because in reading you can underline unknown words while in movies they cannot be "highlightened" to remind you what words or part of the movie you do not understand so what I do is ask the person beside me or you can understand it better through there actions. Also in reading, you can understand the words used in the sentences by the image or ideas used and expressed in the sentence.

#1 INTRODUCTION

WHO AM I? as the middle child of the family, I have been compared multiple times to my siblings or even our neighbors so Who am I really in life without judgements or comparisons ? What is my missions in life? and by this blog I hope that I will be able to achieve what my reason is for making this blog.

My name is JOYCE KAREN GOLUCINO VALIENTE, 16 years of age. I live in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte, Philippines. I was born on October 21,1997 at Tibanga, Iligan City. My parents name are Marivic and Abner Valiente. I am currently living with my parents and I have four siblings, two boys and two girls.

I have a group of friends called "El' Zupeanylexianicjo" which is basically our name combined (Elque, Zuby, Peachy, Rhanny, Alexa, Christian, Nicole, & Joyce). We have started our group when we were still in our Senior Year of Highschool at Iligan City National High School. My friends called me JOYCE. Base on my friends perspective I am referred as the "nerd" or the "loner" of our group because I always read online novels in the so called WATTPAD. My hobbies are reading online novels, watching foreign movies or series like The Neighbors, The Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead etc, drawing, and listening to music especially bands like One Direction, Boyce Avenue, King the Kid, and Paramore, specifically my choice of music depends on my mood or the weather.

I am a freshmen student of one of the Prestigious Universities in the Philippines called MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY-ILIGAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY or also known as MSU-IIT. I am taking up Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Technology and Livelihood Education. And no, I don't want to be a teacher, I just can't see my future from now becoming a teacher. My goals in life is to be a high ranking military or abroad to become a fashion designer and I will make it as my mission to achieve my goals  and be a HISTORY MAKER not a history watcher. I will prove to those who look down on me that even though I am not that smart like my siblings are or am not the most likeable or approachable person on earth, I can and will achieve my goals in life in GOD'S WILL.
